The Compass Center Welcomes Maranda Hardwick as New YVIP Program Manager

SIOUX FALLS, SD – The Compass Center is proud to announce Maranda Hardwick as the new Youth Voices in Prevention (YVIP) Program Manager and Supervising Therapist II.

Maranda, a dedicated member of The Compass Center team for over five years, will spearhead the organization’s initiatives to create safer communities for middle and high school students in the Sioux Falls metro area.

“Maranda’s promotion represents a step forward in our mission to empower youth and prevent violence,” said Michelle Trent, Executive Director of The Compass Center. “Her deep understanding of our community’s needs and her innovative approach to youth engagement will be instrumental in expanding our impact.”

In her new role, Maranda will lead the YVIP program, focusing on:

  1. Developing comprehensive violence prevention strategies for local schools
  2. Expanding youth counseling services to reach more at-risk adolescents
  3. Implementing evidence-based programs to foster healthy relationships among teens
  4. Collaborating with community partners to create a united front against youth violence

The Compass Center’s YVIP program, under Maranda’s leadership, aims to launch with the programs’ first Day Retreat in the coming year, providing essential education on healthy relationships, conflict resolution, and violence prevention strategies.
